Our Team:
The CHC Procurement Indirect Team is part of the CHC Procurement. The Team covers a diverse area of categories considered as indirect spending, such as Digital, Medical & Scientific, Professional Services and Supply Chain. Currently the Team consists out of 10 Global Lead Buyers covering the different categories, all reporting to the Head of CHC Procurement Indirect.
Main responsibilities:
The position will directly report to the Head of Procurement Indirect. Key responsibilities include:
- Scope
- Global Lead Buyer Transport activities (such as Sea-, Road- and Air Freight, Rail, Customs Brokerage, Transport Management)
- Global Responsibility across all countries with CHC presence for Transport
- Manage Budget and monthly performance monitoring for covered categories
- Spend covered: ~ 100 Mio. Euro.
- Strategy
- Propose & implement best in class and innovative strategies for specific product families based on market intelligence, assessing risks and opportunities, aligned on budget, product lifecycle to deliver value to the businesses.
- Establish a multi annual roadmap to be executed to deliver savings for the business and to create value for the brands.
- Ensure procurement technical excellence
- Identify and engage at appropriate level with business partners from the businesses.
- Operational
- Organize biddings, negotiate prices for the concerned perimeter, established prices list and contracts.
- Step-in and manage projects and/or supplier issues related to Transport activities.
- Drive the development of new market opportunities
- Set-up and drive S.R.M. with specific suppliers for the product families and ensure with Group’s requirements on Sustainability.
- Management knowledge and product expertise.
- Set-up and drive right supplier base with clear roadmap to reduce number of suppliers.
- Optimize Working Capital by implementation of extended Payment Terms according to the Group’s Payment Term Policy
- Business Partnering
- Partnering with the various Teams of Supply Chain and Commercial Teams
- Facilitate and build Business Interaction across the Business Unit to drive initiatives / projects / strategies.
- Build and maintain strong interfaces and partnering with other departments like finance and legal.
About you:
- Experience: +10 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain in relationship with Suppliers
- Soft skills: Leadership skills and experience with proven track record in building and leading cross functional teams / Effective communication skills / Strongly continuous improvement oriented.
- Technical skills: Negotiation skills / Ability to understand the products, the supplier and product processes / Business acumen and strategic thinking / Understanding in Cost management, budgeting and controlling / Stakeholders management
- Languages: Fluent in English. French is a plus
