A vacancy for a Field Loadable Software Product Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in
Toulouse, France. You will join the Field Loadable Software and System Configuration Management team within System Engineering Centre of Competences

Mission and activities
We are a team around fifteen motivated engineers working within a transnational department, who on one hand define and support Field Loadable Software principles & processes and on the other hand support the implementation of evolutions of Aircraft systems, with a common goal to manage the impacts on industrialization and certification until the delivery of Aircraft for all Programs

Field Loadable Software is a software that can be loaded without removal of the equipment from the Aircraft. We are responsible for defining the processes and tools that support the Field Loadable Software product during engineering phase, and that allows to ensure its proper management through its entire life.
You will gain experience across several programs and will get a good overview of the Aircraft systems. The tasks will be varied and require you to use different skills (technical, configuration management, project management, communication) in order to complete them successfully. You will be able to collaborate with other functions including System designers, Program, Procurement, Industrial, Airworthiness and Customer Services
You will be supported by an experienced team of Field Loadable Software Product engineers.
This role will involve some travel for business and as such, you must be able to travel accordingly.

Task & accountabilities:
Your main activities will include:

• Defining and supporting the building of Field Loadable Software product and solutions that meet our Customer, Industrial and Engineering needs.
• Deploying and ensuring Field Loadable Software policies across Airbus Programs
• Being Product leader for some of Field Loadable Software tools while ensuring data security & export control compliance
• Supporting the deployment of digitalization for Field Loadable Software process & associated data
• Contributing to innovative ideas inputs and to the continuous improvement of Airbus operations

Required skills:
You have the following skills and experience:

• Graduate engineer or equivalent in aeronautics or systems engineering
• Knowledge in Software Development & architecture, Project Management and Quality insurance
• Capability to work in international context
• Curiosity, innovative mindset and creativity
• Strong team spirit
• Good communication skills, decision making ability, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Language skills: Advanced level of English and French
