Missions
As a Production Engineer VIE, you’ll handle several projects to improve Industrial Performances of our Lucens plant, based on technical components (process, production, etc.) and HR components (training, tutoring, etc.) .To face the increasing competition, a reduction in manufacturing costs and an increase in the flexibility of the factory is necessary.
We face many challenges to reduce our energy and raw material consumption through data analysis.
This way, we are looking for a VIE to help us improve the performance of the cold end department, with the mission of managing continuous improvement activities and training production operators fully meets this need.
You’ll be able to apply engineering principles and the MKT2i development tool, to continuously improve safety, training, quality and cost metrics. You’ll also help sharing the best practices to improve safety, quality, and productivity of existing operations.
During this VIE, you will take part in:
Process management (85%) :
- Belong to the Quality and Process Control pillar, and actively participate to World Class Manufacturing activities (WCM) ;
- Build teams and address safety goals, scrap and downtime opportunities, energy savings, cost reduction projects, 5S implementation, Kaizen events;
- Improve equipment reliability through autonomous maintenance activities;
- Participate to industrialize new products and new processes;
- Participate in projects for the implementation of the new line;
- Plant safety strategy involvements: audit workplace job position, actively identify and eliminate all security risks within the plant, and put forward the improvement action request;
- Participate in field work to get to know the best practices among each shift;
- Conceptualize, design and test e-learning training modules and packages targeting production operators and provide post launch support;
- Ensure the development and the follow-up of the project;
- Update the trainings linked to equipment modifications or new equipment.
This is a 12-month mission, with the possibility to extend it for 6 more months.
Working from home will be possible for special occasions, depending on the activity.
Profil recherché
If you recognize yourself in the following description, don’t hesitate to apply!- You hold a Master’s Degree in Engineering (General, or with a specialization such as chemistry and physics of Materials)
- You have a previous experience in a Production or Maintenance department; some experience in process improvement would be appreciated
- Some knowledge of the Kaizen and Lean manufacturing principles (WCM) would be nice to have
- You are curious, open-minded and adaptable, and can easily discuss with various stakeholders; You are also recognized for your critical thinking abilities, analysis and syntheses skills
- You have a strong appetite for the field work and are hands-on
- You are able to operate as a team leader and as a member of a team
- You’re comfortable with Excel; some exposure to PowerBI or SAP are nice to have; Some programming skills (Python, SQL) would also be appreciated but not mandatory
- You are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written
