Compagny introducing :Arkema Belgium is seeking a EUROPEAN PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICER. This position offers the perfect blend of responsibility, challenges and professionnal growth.
Role and responsibilities :
The volunteer will be required to monitor regulatory issues. Main topics: chemistry, health, pollution, sustainable development, energy, competition, sustainable finance and European green deal, innovation, business ethics, economic sanctions, CSRD / ESRS / CS3D directives.
Your mission :
- Analyzing European legislation with the relevant Arkema departments and help define Arkema's positions
- Supporting the company's participation in the European public debate on the above-mentioned topics: preparing briefing notes, position papers, responding to European consultations, drafting amendments, representing the company in European networks
- Providing regulatory and institutional support on European issues to head office business teams, in liaison with the Legal Department
- Representing to European institutions and trade federations
- Being an occasional support to develop the company's participation in European programs, in liaison with head office business teams
- Creating of a network within European institutions and existing circles in Brussels
Profil recherché
You have :- A Master's degree in public affairs or European law (Sciences Po, College of Europe, ENA, CELSA
- Sorbonne University…) or equivalent
- Work independently on this assignment thanks to an appropriate onboarding
- Take the initiative when necessary
- Adapt to different stakeholders thanks to your contact, interpersonal and communication skills
- Work fluently in French and English with an ease in the subtleties of language
