Missions

Saint-Gobain ADFORS Belgium is part of the Saint-Gobain group. The entity in Buggenhout is specialized in the production of technical textiles with applications in the construction industry, mainly as a carrier for bituminous roofing.

This high-quality product is sold under the name EDS (= Extreme Dimensional Stability) and finds its outlet with the leading European manufacturers.

The Saint-Gobain ADFORS Belgium team currently has 75 employees at the Buggenhout site.

Our production team in Buggenhout is expanding. A lot of projects are ongoing and some challenges to be tackled. That’s why we are hiring a technical process Engineer and are looking for a V.I.E to work on projects related to process optimization. As our V.I.E, you will assist and lead improvement projects and set-up a clear basis for further process development.

The main role:
  • Temporary engagement on well-defined short-term projects related to process optimization.
  • Assist and lead improvement projects and set-up a clear basis for further process development.
  • Work on reducing variances and optimizing materials efficiency.
  • Be part of a few key projects related to our process (5S, WCM, etc.) .
  • Write new procedures and train the teams.
A plus for this role:
  • You can collaborate well with different departments, such as production, maintenance, and quality to identify and implement process improvements.
  • You can be creative in making procedures and can bring added value in visual management.
Extra information:
  • This is a 12-month mission, extendable once.
  • Working from home is not a standard but is possible when needed.

Profil recherché

Attitude is key! If you recognize yourself in the following, then you should apply:
  • Master’s degree in Process Engineering, Industrial Technology, or any related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
  • Proficient in using process analysis and simulation software.
  • Proactive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Hands-on mentality and interested in the manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English. Some knowledge of Dutch is highly appreciated.
